2 minutes of excerpts from 'Immerse' video footage. A large scale moving image and sound installation projected onto three vertical fine screens. Exploring the world of female sea swimmers; shot in the sea using natural light, the camera movement and underwater sound create a mysterious dreamlike environment playing with notions of surface and depth, isolation and communication, reflection and inversion. An amniotic world of tumbling, diving and floating forms. From murky depths rise golden limbs illuminating the oft unseen waterscape of Brighton’s Sea Swimming Club. This projected film goes beyond documentary into an imaginary space and is due to be screened next door to England’s oldest swimming club.
